MY DELUSIONS
CD 9 tracks & download // WDD Records // 2024
Available now "My Delusions," which can be described as eclectic and was built over 2 years in his own studio, WDD Records. This album draws on many references from American music of the past six decades. It covers everything: from fierce rock ("My Delusions") to country ballads reminiscent of spaghetti westerns ("Mi Amigo"), from blues tinged with Chicago slide ("You Feel Alright") to 60s psychedelia ("I Must be Free"), all against a backdrop of omnipresent fuzz guitar and tremolo generously seasoned with reverb and echo.
In short, "My Delusions" is an album that transcends eras and styles, offering listeners a rich and varied musical experience.

The title track “My Delusions” kicks off the album with a gritty guitar riff that blends blues and rock into a powerful mix. There’s an unmistakable charge here that sets the tone for the rest of the record.
At Midnight Tallahassee stands out with its haunting, dusk-filled mood. With a deep vocal delivery that channels both Nick Cave and Bob Dylan, the song unfolds like a twilight ballad, dark and intense, yet rich with narrative depth.
I Must Be Free brings back a pulsing rhythm that feels primal, driving straight to the heart with a beat that makes you want to move. It has a timeless quality that’s both hypnotic and liberating.
One of the album’s highlights, You Give Me the A, drips with noir vibes. The piano work draws you in, transporting you to a smoky New Orleans bar where the mood is thick and mysterious.
Then there’s Try To Save Your Baby, which delves into dystopian sonic landscapes while maintaining that signature twilight atmosphere, at times recalling the eerie intensity of The Doors.
W is Gone is pure, head-banging energy. It’s the kind of track that makes you want to throw your horns in the air and lose yourself in the moment.
The album closes with Mi Amigo, a track that could easily be the soundtrack for a renegade Western—picture cowboys racing through a desert, desperate to cross the Mexican border.
Each song on My Delusions is solid, showcasing the band’s unique ability to craft gripping, energetic tracks that evoke vivid imagery.

TB Wizz And the Dark, the musical project of Stéphane Celotto, takes us decades back into the 60s through the album My Delusions. Recorded with vintage equipment at WDD Records in Toulouse with a retro and atmospheric approach, the album gets behind alienation, inner turmoil, and the search for freedom.
Opening the album with a titular punch, “My Delusions” captures the disillusionment of unfulfilled aspirations. Celotto’s vocals, bold and brimming with charisma, ride a wave of distorted guitar riffs. The song balances a catchy melody with introspective lyrics, chronicling a fall from youthful ambition to the harsh realities of adulthood.
“You Give Me the A” contrasts dark undertones with a sensual delivery. Celotto’s rich, deep vocals ooze sultriness, complementing the song’s hypnotic rhythm. The lyrics, with their quirky metaphor of “playing tag,” allude to passion and longing, creating a visceral yet mysterious atmosphere.
“Try To Save Your Baby” shifts to a more reflective tone with gnarling guitar chords and a steady beat growing into a hypnotic meditation on protecting innocence in a chaotic world. Celotto’s grave vocals and the haunting guitar solo envelop us in the fragility.
“W Is Gone” introduces shimmering percussion and raw, gnarling guitars, creating a more airy yet gritty soundscape. “W Is Gone” is a commentary on political and corporate corruption, referencing the collapse of empires and financial crises against imagery of rebellion and liberation.
